One should perform any good deeds to attain the satisfection of Allahu tawala. It is regarded as Ikhlas ( اخلاص) So my salah, saum, hajj, zakah, sadakah is for the sake of Allahu tawala. One should not perform any good deeds to show the people. Because it is the violation of Allahu tawala's order. No people are able to give the rewards of the good deeds that you perform.
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
( سورة الانعام: 162 )
Meaning:
Say, "Indeed, my prayer And my sacrifice , my life, and my death are for the sake of Allah, Lord of the universe.
( Surah : Al Anaam: 162 )
لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
ٍسورة النساء: 114
Meaning:
There is no good in most of their private conversation, except for him who orders for charity or good deed or make correction between people. And whoever does that to seek the satisfiction of Allahu tawala - then soon We will give him a great reward.
(Suratun Nisa: 114)
