Chapter: Make intention pure ( تصحيح النية)

One should perform any good deeds to attain the satisfection of Allahu tawala. It is regarded as Ikhlas ( اخلاص) So my salah, saum, hajj, zakah, sadakah is for the sake of Allahu tawala. One should not perform any good deeds to show the people. Because it is the violation of Allahu tawala's order. No people are able to give the rewards of the good deeds that you perform.
قُلْ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ( سورة الانعام: 162 )
Meaning:
Say, "Indeed, my prayer And my sacrifice , my life, and my death are for the sake of Allah, Lord of the universe.
( Surah : Al Anaam: 162 )

One should make his intention to attain the satisfection of Allahu tawala while performing any good deed.

لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
ٍسورة النساء: 114
Meaning:
There is no good in most of their private conversation, except for him who orders for charity or good deed or make correction between people. And whoever does that to seek the satisfiction of Allahu tawala - then soon We will give him a great reward.
(Suratun Nisa: 114)

Make a good intention, get one hasanah

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ حَسَنَةً وَمَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَعَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرًا إِلَى سَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ وَمَنْ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا لَمْ تُكْتَبْ وَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ
صحيح المسلم
Meaning:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: He who intended to do good, but did not do it, one hasanah was recorded for him, and he who intended to do good and also did it, ten to seven hundred good deeds were recorded for him. And he who intended to do bad deed, but did not commit it, no entry was made against his name, but if he committed that, it was recorded ( equivalent to the bad deed ).

Annotation:
Hasanah ( حسنة ) is an Arabic word. It is conisered as a currency in the life hereafter. When a person peforms good deeds, hasanah is counted against the good deeds. And the good doer will get reward in life hereafter according to his hasanaht.
