The persons who do not pay Zakah will endure punishment:

وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُم بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (34) يَوْمَ يُحْمَىٰ عَلَيْهَا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ فَتُكْوَىٰ بِهَا جِبَاهُهُمْ وَجُنُوبُهُمْ وَظُهُورُهُمْ ۖ هَٰذَا مَا كَنَزْتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا مَا كُنتُمْ تَكْنِزُونَ (35) سورة التوبة:35
Meaning:
And those who amass ( hoard ) gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah - convey them the good news about a painful punishment. (34) On the Day it will be heated in the fire of Hell and then their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs will be branded with it. This is what you amasseded for yourselves, so taste what you used to amass. ( 35 )
